12 Week Ultrasound

We went for our 12 week ultrasound at the hospital. It was amazing. It ended up that a doctor is doing research on a new machine and they asked us if we wanted to participate in his research. So along with getting our normal 2D ultrasound we got to have a 3D ultrasound. They measured the baby at approx. 2 inches long which is right on track and said that everything else looks good.

These first two pictures are from the 2D Ultrasound.

This picture is a profile of the face.

The next three pictures are from the 3D ultrasound.

This picture is the full baby facing to the left. You can see the arms, hands, and fingers.

This picture shows the baby facing right and you can see it's shoulder.

This picture shows the baby facing almost straight foward. It looks like the hand might be by the mouth.
